Thursday's Progress

Here's the progress on the second one of the two (so far) imaginings, this one being ole man Winter.

Here's where we started:


And here it is, as of today. As you'll see, we've got to plant two more trees. There are a lot of other things to do, to refine, etc., but it's beginning to feel like winter to me. Something's got to be done about the awkward hillside behind the barn.

  2. I was thinking out loud and hit the publish button by mistake, but I love the crisp cold feeling that the violet in the snow shadow brings to the seen. Perhaps a bit of the same in front of the house (cast by the missing trees?)would help redefine the base of the building. How about a waft of chimney smoke to soften that irritating hill slope?
    It is looking nice!
